Is the location of a point cloud maintained when unloading and reloading?

Yes! The position of the point cloud is maintained when unloading and reloading. If you remove, you will need to relink and choose a new position.
If you have a new version of a link, use the “reload from” option to choose a file with a different name or in a different folder location. As long as the origin is the same in the updated file, the link will remain in the same location.
